Statutory Information

To comply with legislation all academies must publish specific information on their websites as outlined by the Department for Education.

To make this content easier to find we have compiled a list of links to all our statutory information.

It is our core aim that all pupils will achieve their potential, learning every day so they may have choices in and about their future. We ‘learn today for our tomorrow’. We believe that each and every child should have the same opportunities, regardless of background or life experience.

BPS is committed to raising standards of achievement and attainment for its pupils. We understand that this is an issue of equal opportunities and that as a consequence of this staff should have appropriately high expectations.

Our improvement aims for the Minerva Learning Trust and BPS 2021-2022 include

Early Years: ensuring that every child gets the start on their educational journey that they need.

Mathematics: ensuring that standards in mathematics rise to those of other subjects.

Literacy: a focus on ensuring every child leaves their primary school as an enthusiastic reader and continues to develop as a reader in the secondary school.

Reading is included in our plan not because it is a weakness, but because of its importance. We have added writing into our plans this year to complement reading and further develop pupils’ literacy skills.

Curriculum: ensuring that every pupil receives a curriculum that is challenging and appropriate and that prepares them for the next stage of their education. This year we have a particular focus on ensuring relationships education is embedded in the curriculum and that anti-racist education is developed across all our schools.
