Career Overview: Firstly, I am a mum to two lively boys and a Doberman, all of whom who keep me busy at weekends! I love walking and cycling in my spare time.

I was born and grew up in Bridport, the daughter of a Primary School Head, I knew very early on that teaching was for me.  I went to Loders Primary, then Colfox Secondary (as it was then), studying English and languages. It was then off to Cardiff for teacher training. 

I have taught and held leadership positions in several different schools, and after four and a half years as Head of School at Mrs Ethelston’s in Uplyme, Bridport Primary was a golden opportunity.  The chance to make a difference to the town I love and support the future means a great deal.  I feel very privileged to be Head at Bridport Primary School, working with a fantastic team and supportive community.

Key Roles and Responsibilities: Deputy Safeguarding Lead, Maths Lead, School Council, RRS Lead, EYFS, Assessment Lead, Educational visits' coordinator, Pupil Premium Lead and Children in Care Designated Teacher

Career Overview: I grew up in the West country and returned here after teaching in London for 5 years, following my undergraduate degree and PGCE at Lancaster University. I have two daughters who attend BPS and a son who is at preschool; they keep me very busy when I am not at work. My family and I live at a boarding school in Dorset where my husband works as a housemaster, so we live and breathe school life even when we are at home!  

I have been at BPS for 12 years now, and I love it here: every day is different, and every child is unique. I am proud to work here and to be doing my bit to make a difference to the lives of the children here.
