The school day is from 8.40am to 3.10pm. A member of staff is on duty from 8.35am / 8.40am in the playground. We request that you drop off and pick up younger siblings first.

There are 10 minutes allocated for registration. The registers will close at 9.00am in the morning and 1.15pm after lunch.

(Please note that between 8.50 and 9am, your child will receive a late mark.  After this time, they will receive a 'U' for unregistered)

Key Stages One and Two: 10.40 – 10.55am

School closes  3.10pm.

The children are cared for during the lunch break by midday supervisors. Children can either choose to have a healthy school meal provided by Local Food Links or bring in a packed lunch. All children eat their lunch in the hall at various times in the lunch hour.

Snacks and lunches

• We encourage children to have a balanced lunchbox, including a fruit snack for morning play in KS2. KS1 will be provided with a fruit snack.  A reminder that we are a NUT FREE school, due to the danger for children who have allergies. 
• We encourage children to drink plain water, as it is hydrating, refreshing and healthy. Squash is allowed, though no water bottles on tables in case of spillage. If bottles need to be refilled in school, this will be with water.

Start and End of the Day

Punctuality is a very important lesson for life. Please ensure that your child is here before the start of the school day. If, for any reason, your child is late please explain the reason to the class teacher and make sure you notify the school office, so that the register can be altered accordingly.

Any child not collected at the end of the school day for any reason must remain/return to their class teacher or to go to the school office and wait for their parents. We ask you to contact us if you have a problem collecting your child by the correct time. We will work our way through the list of emergency contacts and wait a reasonable amount of time. If we get no response, we will then contact the Children’s Advisory and Duty Service (CHAD).

There are 32.5 hours in the school week; this includes lunch times and other break times, as well as teaching time and any enrichment activities that all pupils are expected to attend.
