BPS 6 - Sticklands 3

A huge well done has to go to our talented netballers for winning the final yesterday and being the recipients of a huge shield which will be engraved and sit proudly in our foyer.

It was a nail-biting match of four quarters, each 8 minutes long and BPS were up against a brilliant team from Sticklands.

Pip, Daniel, Circe, Rosanna and Ruby were superb in defence, often putting a stop to the opposition’s shooters. They also worked hard to get tips, rebounds and intercepts, helping to get the ball back to our attackers.

Haydon, Eryn, Layla, Nancy and Elsie worked tirelessly in attack. They worked determinedly (and often super speedily!) to get the ball into our shooters. Our shooters managed to net 6 goals between them, each shooter scoring 2 each. They even managed to net goals when the posts were heightened to 9ft at half time - something they are not used to at all!

A special mention also has to go to those children who were invited to spectate. They were brilliant, enthusiastic supporters.

Mrs Simier and Mrs Gale are extremely proud coaches. Well done, BPS!
