CHAMPIONS!
We were delighted to open the Bridport Christmas Cheer event with a selection of festive tunes!
This is our amazing girl's football team.
They have progressed onto the second round of the Dorset Girl’s football tournament after beating St Osmond’s middle school 9-0 on Thursday afternoon.
All the girls represented BPS with pride and demonstrated fantastic sporting attitudes throughout. Well done girls!
Huge congratulations to the Kenway cup football team, who won the Bridport football tournament on Tuesday.
Everyone in the team played brilliantly, demonstrating skill, teamwork and determination to overcome many tough opponents, without conceding a goal!
They will now progress on to the finals to play against the winners of the Beaminster tournament.
Well done to our hockey heroes! After two brilliant performances against Mosterton and Broadwindsor, they managed to reach the finals.... they narrowly came second and performed superbly. Well done BPS hockey team!
Our netballers attended a tournament, involving eight teams from local primary schools.
BPS Lightning was made up of seven players and was captained by Circe meanwhile BPS Thunder had eight teammates and were captained by Layla.
It was an exhilarating afternoon and every single BPS player showed super sportsmanship, excellent teamwork, resilience and determination. All of that teamed with skilful intercepts, sharp shooting and fast movements meant BPS had a very successful afternoon…
We are so proud to announce that BPS Thunder came 5th overall and BPS Lightning came 1st, after not losing a single match. They even beat Thorner's who were the reigning champions and have been undefeated for many years - until today!
Mrs Simier, Mrs Gale and Mrs Reeve are so proud of every single player. Their hard work at netball club has certainly paid off.
Everyone went home absolutely buzzing with pride - staff and children alike!
BPS Lightning are through to another competition as a result of winning overall today. More details on this to follow in due course.
Please join us in saying a big well done to our talented netballers; we have some England Roses and England Thorns in our midst!
We had a wonderful afternoon, inviting parents, carers and relatives to celebrate the year 5/6 children’s work on World War Two. Dancing and singing performances were watched, homework projects were explored and topic books were exhibited. Here’s a little snippet of some of the projects…
WoW! On Saturday, we took part in the tag rugby tournament at Bridport Leisure Centre.
The day was brilliantly organised- thanks to the Rugby Club- and the children played their hearts out.
They made recent BPS history by finishing SECOND overall!
Every year, we dress in yellow to mark World Mental Health Day. We want to show young people that they’re not alone when it comes to their mental health.
A huge thank you to everyone who donated food for Cupboard Love as part of our Harvest celebrations last week. It will be greatly appreciated by local families.
Wow! Amazing work from our cross-country team on Saturday, as they attended the Colmer's Hill event. They came second overall. Well done, team BPS!
One member was noted for how brilliantly they ran, comfortably winning the race by quite a margin!
Everyone loved their Rock Steady assembly and workshop. They got involved either by being on stage playing an instrument or being off stage and using their own instrument…their voice.
Introducing to you the latest, coolest band… The Flaming Purple Giraffes!
